Soils are red shale with high silt and clay content, good water retention, and ideal characteristics for vines. The topography provides abundant exposure to sunshine and warm days giving growers the opportunity to grow many varieties. Currently, this vineyard is producing an excellent variety of Merlot, Pinot Gris, and Marquette. Four Mile Creek is the most productive sub-appellation in the Niagara Peninsula. This Vinyard has 2 frost fans, and also includes a drip irrigation system. The water supply is currently from the Town Irrigation System. Drip Irrigation is filtered through a mobile pump unit located on the north side of the property with 5 filters. It has 2-zone drip irrigation, valve 1 irrigates the east side and valve 2 irrigates the west side. The pump and drip system also has the ability for Fertigation.
